Athens

From Corfu, we took a night bus from Igoumenitsa to Athens, it left at around 20:00 and arrived at 5:00. The experience made us really miss trains. We stayed only for one night in Piraeus (Athens' Port) as everyone recommended that we get in and get out; we both greatly regret we hadn't stayed longer, as it was our favourite part of Greece. While Piraeus wasn't great, most of what we saw of Athens was beautiful in it's own way, making it my [Rob] second favourite city behind Berlin (Danielle's 2nd is Florence fyi). We chose to stay in Piraeus because it was much cheaper than staying in Athens, and the next day we had a ferry at 7:00 so being close to the port was very convenient. The city's metro was super easy to use so getting downtown was no problem. In order to get as much in as we could in the short stay, we hopped on the same type of tour bus as we did in Rome (thanks for the suggestion Shera), then wandered around the main sights and beyond. It was an awesome day and we hope to see more of Athens in the (near?) future.
