Delos, Greece

Just a half hours boat ride from Mykonos, is the small island of Delos. Being nearly the center of the Cyclades, the island has a very rich history and retains much of it in its many ruins and mosaics. On our day trip from Mykonos, we hiked up the highest peak (Mt Kythnos, 113m), went to the Delos Museum, and wandered through the extensive ruins. The main reason I wanted to visit Mykonos, was to visit Delos, so I'm glad it lived up to its expectations.
